Höt pärty äxxiön at Stream once again!
Meet up with scene friends, snacks from the grill, beer from a multitude of bottles, compos from the big screen and all that what makes a party. ISO Hämähäkkinäyttely kept a smirk on my face somewhat throughout the party, and 216’s display of how not to do shopping was a good laugh.
Plenty of releases this time around: Curly and Uncle-X both wanted to dig up / revisit my old, mostly unreleased, ‘Mikro’ project for some demo action AND I also made a tunes for both the Listening and Dance music compos, titled ‘Debonaire Progression’ and ‘Dance Action’ respectively. The latter was a not-so-quick party place composition I edited from some loops plus Korg Monotron Delay samples, topped by a pretty awful headphone mix. The in-ear Yamaha plugs I have at the moment just fail big time on the bass department, so I was pretty much flying in the dark.
For the democompo, the “visit to the archives” this time around yielded two demos: ‘Mono part 1‘ by Kewlers and ‘Mono part 2‘ by mfx. Song-wise part 1 is actually a remix whereas part 2 is the original, and in this sense it was a bit weird to have the order reversed. But whatever. Kurli made a combined version out of these prods, so I’m linking that one here. Check out the individual versions from the links above.
I only learned about the greek Mikro way later, so for this appearance I chose to change aliases to ‘µ’.. Mikro enough and I reckon I’ll keep it for future releases too.
