Arranged for the last time ever, 10th installment of Stream demoparty delivered heaps of awesome! The weather was spot on, visitor record was topped (afaik 247 attendees!), fun compos were arranged and the party run smoothly without hitches.. well, not counting the delays with schedule :)
I did a bunch of tweets from the party too, there’s some photos etc. Check them out here.
Both of my entries to music compos were old works, but of course previously unreleased. Listening Music entry is for a unfinished PC demo project from 2000 or 2010 (but trimmed down to fit the compo length limit) and Dance Music entry is for a unfinished DVD project from 2000-something-I-can’t-remember-when-but-shame-it-didn’t-happen.. Like perhaps whenever it is that DVDs make a underground comeback like cassette tapes. Anyway, good to have these out in some form. More later perhaps.
Just for the fun of it, I uploaded a video of the Dance Music entry the way it would’ve looked on the DVD. Here you go:
I’ve been wanting to participate in a photo compo for ages, and for Stream 10 I finally managed to do exactly so. My entry, titled ‘Signed By The Artist‘, I took with Olympus E-PL1 equipped with its kit lens (14-42mm f/3.5-5.6) and set to 40 second exposure, and by waving a flashlight at the camera amidst scary dark woods (is there any other kind?). Took a lot of trial and error to get the text readable, but it was good fun getting there.
Not much else to say than send XXL MEGA T-H-A-N-K-S to all the organizers whom made Stream happen since 2003. It’s always been a blast and I feel happy for not having missed a single installment :)
